In plain English: Your test results and progress are stored only in your browser. We don't have a server-side account system yet — your data never leaves your device unless you clear your browser storage.

What data we collect

IELTSprep V1 does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location.

The following data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage):

Your test results (band scores, question answers, error patterns)
Your language preference (Turkish or English)
Your target band score
Coach observation history

This data exists only on your device. We cannot access it, and it is not sent to our servers.

AI-powered features

When you use Writing scoring or the Speaking test, your text responses and audio recordings are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This is necessary to generate your band score and feedback. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for how they handle this data.

We do not store your writing essays or speaking transcripts on our servers after scoring is complete.

Cookies

IELTSprep does not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage solely for saving your in-app preferences and test progress.

Data retention and deletion

Since all data is stored in your browser, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or site data. Your data is automatically removed if you clear your browser history or use a different device or browser.

Changes to this policy

As IELTSprep adds features (such as user accounts and cloud sync), this policy will be updated. We will notify users of significant changes.
