Which test should I take first?
Getting Started
If you are unsure where to start, take a Reading test. It is the most straightforward: no audio, no speaking, no timer pressure beyond the 60-minute limit.
A simple guide
- Reading — Start here. Tests your ability to understand complex texts. 40 questions, 60 minutes.
- Listening — Good second step. Tests your ability to follow conversations and lectures. 40 questions, ~30 minutes.
- Writing — Two tasks. Task 1 is a graph/chart description, Task 2 is an academic essay. AI scores both.
- Speaking — Conversation with an AI examiner. Three parts. Scored like the real exam.
What if I have a target skill?
Go directly to the skill you need to improve most. If your exam is soon and Writing is your weak point, start with Writing tests immediately.
Your Dashboard shows your current estimated band per skill. After two or three tests in each skill, the Coach will start identifying your specific weak areas.
